Force windows to install a driver

If you would like to contribute your work please contact us.If you know you have the right driver for your hardware, but the Windows "Found New Hardware" wizard isn't accepting; this tutorial shows you how to for Windows to accept the driver in four simple steps.
Step 1: When the wizard appears, select "Install from a list or specific location."
Step 2: After pressing Next. choose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install."; then press Next again.
Step 3: Press Next again to skip the screen pictured below.
Step 4: Click the "Have Disk" button and choose the location of your driver in the dialog that appears. Your driver will now be in the driver list; select it and press Next. The driver will now install.

If Windows XP gives you a message about the driver not being digitally signed you would, of course, press "Continue Anyway."
